Lingo24 Answers Challenging Translation Requests

Released on: October 6, 2008, 6:24 am

Press Release Author: Lingo24

Industry: Small Business

Press Release Summary:
A global leading language services company has successfully completed translation
projects in Maori, Inuktitut and several other rare languages.

Press Release Body:

After being in the language services business for the past 7 years, Lingo24 has
recently faced a series of quite challenging translation projects. Business clients
from various countries asked for translations services from English into languages
used by only tiny numbers of people in different regions of the world. Amongst these
languages was Maori, spoken by less than a million people and mostly in New Zealand
and Australia, and Hmong, used by a tiny minority in southern China and a few other
countries in Southeast Asia, including Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam.

Lingo24 also faced the huge challenge of finding qualified translators for Inuktitut
– a variety of Inuit language which is spoken by an tiny group whose population is
spread throughout Alaska, Canada, Greenland and northern parts of Russia, and Wolof
which is spoken in Africa, predominantly in Senegal, the Gambia and Mauritania.

Thanks to the extra effort put by Lingo24’s team of language enthusiasts, all
translation requests were successfully completed with clients more than happy with
the results, and we now look forward to some new challengers with unusual language
requirements!
